- Successfully established Set for Success, a Back Pack and School Supply Drive for homeless children, providing over 1,000 young people with backpacks and supplies, and over $12,000 for local schools.
- Balanced a half billion and quarter billion dollar budgets, respectively.
- Saved Park Spirit from mismanagement and successfully implemented fiscal controls and increased membership and funds, managed funds of over $300,000.
- Established a statewide Coalition of School Committees to lobby for a formula change in education resulting in saving over 50 teacher's positions in Worcester, alone.
- Established the MASC Advocacy Committee and the Division IX Urban Committee.
Worcester City Councilor At Large 2006 to present
- First woman in the City's History to be elected directly from the School Committee to the Council. Elected 4th place of 6 out of 8 challengers in 2005. Elected 3rd place out of 12 out of 18 challengers in the first preliminary election in decades; Elected 3rd place out of 6 out of 12 challengers.
